I did not vote in this poll nor can we expect the most pro-Israeli country in the world, namely the USA, to shed poll results that shed anything but heat and not light.
As it is, all the world has done is replaced the Jewish refugee problem with a subsequent equally large Palestinian refugee problem.
As it is, there is not a country on earth, including the USA that recognizes the Israel claim that it owns territory gained in the 1967&73 wars. Yet its totally illogical that 43 years later Israel still militarily occupies and builds on such disputed lands that Israel can never own.
Yet the USA has a long history of trying the broker a solution with no success. With Obama being the latest US President to try to broker a solution. And in MHO, making a botch of it.
But the point maybe being, if Obama does not succeed, Obama may be the last US President that has any credibility, and if Obama does not deliver something, other nations that are far less pro-Israeli will take on the job and demand a solution to what amounts to a 62 year old explosive mid-east problem.
Right now, Israeli credibility is at an all time low in the larger world, and to some extent the USA must now choose between Israel and the Arab world, the USA can have one or the other but not both.
Worse yet, there are just two ways to solve the problem, either a two State solution in a separate Palestinian and Israeli State, or the South African solution where Palestinians are assimilated with the vote into Israel.
And as long as Israel keeps settling in disputed lands, it dooms the two State solution making a the forced assimilations of Palestinians into Israel with voting rights the only option.
Anyone with brains in Israel realized that years ago, but bat shit crazy Israeli settler parties are in denial.
