Here they go again . Bomb a hotel dining room with Israelis celebrating a Passover killing at least 19 injuring 100 or so more. The Israelis have thwarted several other attempts over the past few days but this one slippled though . It looks like this time they will have to retailiate in spite of calls of restraint by by GWB - I bet after this latest attack, that any chance for peace there has been postponed for a long time .

Only way there will ever be peace in the west bank is if the Palestinians are no longer there. Or anywhere else for that matter!

And please don't try to tell me if the Isralies pull out it will stop.... Even if the entire world was thier religion, they would just

Does anyone else remember what a big deal some Muslims were making of Ramadan and how the US should shut down the war in Afghanistan during that month? That looks quite hypocritical now.

Those are some of the most stupid racist statements I've read. How do you think people would react if someone said the same about some other ethnic group?? Insidious, you redefine the boundries of stupidity.

The bloodshed in that region is indeed saddening, and I don't see any realistic chance for peace anytime soon. Still, I can't say I blame the Palestinians any more than I blame the Israeli's... they just do it in different ways, but they both end up killing innocent civilians. Of course, I can't blame the Israelis for taking a hard line either, they have good reason to be wary of the people around them. What they don't realize is that the more 'pressure' and restrictions they put on the Palistinian people, the easier it becomes for the extremist elements in that territory to recruit new members for more violence.... sigh.
 
The Palestinians deliberately target innocent civilians. The Israelis target Palestinian "military" and terrorist targets. Occasionally, the Israelis kill a few innocent (?) Palestinians and the whole friggin' world criticizes them.

The Israelis cannot pull back their borders as the Saudis suggest they should. The Palestinians would just continue their atrocities while demanding even more land. It would only end with the Israelis swimming in the ocean with the Palestinians lobbing grenades at them.

I'm sure they do in fact realize that; they have been living with it after all. I wonder if you realize that no matter how much the Israelis ease up and move towards peace, they still get to have their asses handed to them in little pieces by groups that really do not care to have peace in the region.
 
i dont think the issue is that they did something wrong and they whine; both sides do that israel and palestine

its more important to recognize that palestine doesnt get any aid from the us like israel does...israel recieves the most aid of any country...more than the entire african nation...its not fair to say that israel targets terrorists while palestine targets innocents; there are no innocents

both sides are wrong and im tired of hearing from extremists from either side

just remember from a palestinian stand point they are freedom fighters...from an israeli stand point they are terrorists....how do u think the british felt when we threw them out?

Would it be any different if he replaced "palestinians" with "israelis"? Or if he critisized both equally?

Still, for the funniest bit of hypocrisy, you gotta go back to the 70's when Egypt and Syria invaded Israel on Yom Kippur--a day that just happened to be in the middle of Ramadan 😉

And to top it off, the totally unprepared Israelis took 15 days to get their forces in gear and still managed to embarass their invaders 😀

Second, if they are so much alike name ONE just ONE Israelie who tied bombs to his chest and intentionally went into a large CIVILIAN population with the only intention of killing as many Palestinians as possible.

I challenge you to find me that.

You are right thought they do it differently. Isralies target the people responsible for terrorist attacks. Palestinians target 9 year old little girl birthday parties and Passover celebrations.

You can prepare for more bombing attacks until Sharon resigns because he doesn't want a peace settlement and never did.
 
Perhaps it is time to start calling the Palestinians what they are, terrorists. These are people who dance in the street when innocent Israeli (and American) civilians are killed. They have parties to celebrate their atrocities.

When is the last time anyone has seen an Israeli or American celebrate the death of an innocent?

The history of the Jewish people is a history of enduring enslavement, expellation, and genocide. It's amazing that the Jews have been able to survive for almost 6000 years.
 
From a hypothetical point of view, I wonder how the Arab world would react if the Israelis randomly bombed Palestinian civilian targets. Or, to expand this beyond the Palestinian/Israeli frame of reference, suppose that the US randomly targeted civilian areas in the Arab world in retaliation to 9/11? I really wonder how Arabs would react if they were the targets of genuine terrorism, instead of simply dishing it out?

Do note that Israel attacked several refugee camps during the night, and that kids died during those raids.

Both sides have leaders which do not want peace are are just looking for a reason to continu the war. This bombing will give Sharon a reason to launch several counter attacks and raids again, in which several Palestinians will die. The families of those people will cry out for revenge, and may actually become so angry and desperate again that one or more new suicide bombers are born, thus completing the circle.

Neither side wants peace, and until one side will not only put down the weapons but keep them down, no peace will be possible. And neither side wants to be the first to put down their weapons, as the other side will want to have the last strike.
