PAL Component to NTSC Component

My friend is in London right now, and he sent me some games (mainly, WRC3!). I have a component setup on my PS2 and it's kind of hard to play games when they flicker so much!


Now, It's pretty obvious that it won't be able to do component to component, I can't find anywhere on google that has this even made up, but what about going from component to VGA and then back, will that work?

Pal component > vga > ntsc component?
