I have a PAL 6035 with YS fan. I replaced it with the Delta that came with my FOP38. The readings indicate that Im getting about 3 degrees lower CPU temp with the Delta.
Thanks, this is what I wanted to know. In fact, my PAL6035 came with a 4200 rpm., 19.42CFM Delta MP fan, which is not performing very well. I will be replacing it with YS Tech 26 CFM.
Where do you guys get these fans & heatsinks? Every online store I check has the same Taisol stuff and nothing else but OEM junk.
I have the GlobalWin WBK38 with DELTA and it is LOUD and I hate it, despite it's incredible cooling abilities. I need a much quiter fan/hs combo.
I'd prefer to buy a HS with the fan already installed, as my carpel tunnel makes it difficult for me to perform such tasks. It's a bitch and I'd rather not go through the frustration.
I buy a lot of stuff from KDcomputers.com and they have great service, so what can I buy from them that will not be LOUD, but that will do a good job of cooling my AMD 1.2 T-bird? How about the Global Win WBK68? The fan is rated quieter than the Delta.
www.overclockers.com has a way to quiet the Delta using silicon and electrical tape and I wonder if that would quiet the Delta enough to satisfy me?
