I have placed the fan/heatsink on correctly and my MSI MB has software (PC ALERT III) that reads cpu temps of upto 39 when playing Quake RA3 online and a chasis temp of 24. Would that be about right? I am wondering if I should adjust the thermal grease (ie make it less)
Artic silver is on it sway so I'll check that out in future.
Dang, this cpu/fan/heatsink stuff is fun!😉
 
What CPU/MB are you using?

Typically, if that is a p3, your temps are fine...

Duron/T-bird, also fine, but probably reading a bit low.
