Israel having nuclear weapons is a non-issue. They are at least civilized and religiously stable enough not to throw one at someone because their god told them to. Israel's nuclear stockpile is solely defensive in nature. They don't need nukes to kick the crap out of any other nation in the ME using conventional means. Stupid argument from the small minded. I am not a fan of Israel either.

Does Israel constantly say that Iran should be wiped off the map? That comment right there is indicative of the idiots that are running Iran. Maybe if they acted in a better manor, and didn't make comments such as that, they wouldn't be facing the opposition to their nuclear program that they currently see.

My only real problem with Israel is the way they act like they always have the moral high ground regardless of what they do and the way they hold the holocaust over the entire world's head like it should be a rubber stamp allowing them to act any way they please.

Actually, yeah, that's what it seems he is doing- sort of his way of thumbing his nose at the Bush admin I guess. I think it's stupid when he spews garbage like that but I do make the distinction between what the Iranian President says and what the people think. You do realize most Iranians cringe when they hear him say that kind of stuff don't you? Whatever game the President is trying to play with his sensational quotes few people seem to be in on it

Bush sent a message, Iranians responded by sending a Man with a message to the height of government. The Man speaks and now you get to taste the words of Bush. One thing is clear, when Bush called Iran as part of the Axis of Evil it chilled relations and caused Iran to become more aggressive.

The same people also said that a nuclear weapon is against Islam and have repeatedly said they do not want one. But it's good to know that you don't selectively quote them.
I didn't see you rushing out on the streets and supporting Iran's right to nuclear power when reformists were in office. Oh that's right, they were evil then and they're evil now.
Iran has repeatedly stated that they would love complete dismantling of all nuclear weapon programs and would be the first in line to sign such a treaty. But I guess that would be crazy.

Why is it you act like the threat was towards the US? A lot of people just don't understand the immediate position of having to defend Israel, and I'm definetly one of them. Last I checked the Isrealis were quite proficient in handling that for themselves. I realize the thought of nukes in the hands of religious fundies is unsettling, but ultimately we are in no position to dictate 'the rules' to anyone, especially those we backed into a corner intentionally.
We turn a deaf ear to protests over our use of incendiary weapons, landmines, or continued development of nuclear weapons. Iran is simply doing the same thing. Either we hold ourselves up to a common standard across the board weapon-wise, or quit the bitching when others exercise their own freedom and liberty.


We have a big enough helping of clusterfvck on our plate at the moment. Cheney needs to yank that chain cuz Iran is the wrong tree.
