Pakistan's military claimed Monday that it had fired its first submarine-launched cruise missile.

The announcement is likely to raise tensions between Pakistan's military and arch-rival India's million-man army.

The military said Babur-3 — named after a sixteenth century Islamic Mughal warrior who invaded and conquered India — with a range of 450 kilometers, was tested from an undisclosed location in the Indian Ocean.

A video release confirmed the missile was fired from an underwater location. The military said in a statement that it was launched from a "mobile platform and hit its target with precise accuracy."

Babur-3 is a sea-based variant of Ground Launched Cruise Missile (GLCM) Babur-2, which the Pakistanis claimed was successfully tested in December 2016.

India's media is going to probably push this story on their news channels. It's so strange watching some of this drama in this world. All this patriotism, all this macho bull crap. Yet, I bet none of these cowards enlists to join the war against Pakistan.

A few months back India claimed it carried the "surgical strikes" against Pakistan yet it is totally denied by Pakistan. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a total lie just like other things it lies about. Yet, the Indian media will continue to push for war.

If you look at most Indian news outlet, they usually have propaganda material against Pakistan and China. It's like a call for open war against these supposed "enemies" of India. They seem to be attacking the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor lately.

It's hard to keep up with all the BS in this world. Poor countries, rich countries, average countries - they are all gearing up for war against each other. What times we live in.

Pakistan has a grand total of 5 diesel electric French submarines capable of firing such a missile and I guarantee there's a Los Angeles class astern of each.

Pakistan is a US ally still. The Pakistani government is something the US doesn't want to see gone, as that would mean the Taliban from the north can try grab power. And that would mean them getting hold of nukes.

At the moment India is more of a threat to peace in the region as Modi is extremely nationalistic.

which country has killed more US soldiers [India/ Pak]
Which country has terrorist links to most terrorist attacks around THE WORLD. [India/ Pak]
In which country has the percentage of minorities decreased from 20% to less than 2% now [India/ Pak]
which country hosted OBL [India/ Pak]
which country hosted the now dead leader of taliban [India/Pak]
which country hosts the quetta Shura which plans on killing americans every day [India / Pak]

Take your terrorist loving goggles off for a min

There are allies and there are allies. The British are allies, the Pakis are in the keep your enemies closer category.

True. But still, the Pakistani government is focussed mainly on not losing power. Modi is the Indian Erdogan, who sees everyone that doesn't support him (and probably part of those who do) as the enemy, whether domestic or foreign.
