I believe I said this somewher else. The Arabs are all astute camel traders. I just saw a blurb on this on CNN live bottom screen teleprompter. They want financial aid and debt relief in exhange for assisting the US and coalition.

For Debt relief,I want ground based troop staging and bivwac, and control of all of Pakistans air ports. I also want all port control for our ships and supplies.

We can trade too.;)

i believe that the US is still punishing pakistan for testing nuclear weapons a few years ago. Maybe sanctions will be lifted if they help.

You might want to retake high school geography. Pakistan is not in the Middle East.

that's reasonable... i'll even go one further, and say we should forgive the debts of any country willing to support the cause and work against terrorism... this is a great opportunity to bring many suffering African nations into the world community on a positive note :)

I think Isreal is a lock. So might be India. And we already have bases in Turkey. as soon as we have definative proof (as Russia wants) then the northern states of theirs may afford us some room. There is also an air strip in northern Afghanistan under control of the rebel forces. If that gets shored up, it can be a place to insert ground troops, however, knowing our military, and the methods available for troop insertion, any place a parachute can land is viable.

If we forgive the debts of any of these countries it would be a zero cost to us. Hell none of them ever pay us back anyway !

I don't know man. Where's the international diplomacy in this? Bomb the heck out of Afgha. is not going to accomplish anything, and Bush is already wanting to deploy troops and air power. With the Jewish New Year only 24 hours away, security in Israel is at its highest level in years. Pakistan has already said that they will change their mind on helping us if either India or Israel are involved in any operations against Afghanistan. Israel's IDF's concerned if they'll be shut out of the counter-terrorist action. Pakistani delegates are going to Afgha. on Monday to give them a 72 hour ultimatum to hand over Bin Laden.

A delegation of Pakistani officials plans to visit
Afghanistan possibly by Sept. 17 to convince the ruling
Taliban to hand over suspected terrorist mastermind
Osama bin Laden, Fox News reported. The Pakistani
group will reportedly tell the Taliban leaders that an
international coalition is being assembled to attack
Afghanistan if bin Laden is not delivered. 1605 GMT,
091601

IRNA cited a report in the Tehran daily Iran that the
Taliban threatened Pakistan Sept. 15 with a "massive
attack" if it assisted the United States in launching
military strikes on Afghanistan. 1510 GMT, 091601

Pakistan daily Dawn reported Sept. 15 that President
Pervez Musharraf will likely visit China this week "to
take the Chinese leadership into confidence over the
latest developments in the region," citing a highly
placed official source. Musharraf will reportedly seek to
assure Beijing that Pakistan will continue to act as a
sovereign state. The same source stated that a special
envoy of Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdullah arrived
in Islamabad Sept. 16 for consultations, and that
Musharraf spoke directly with Prince Abdullah later in
the day. 1643 GMT, 091601

The Afghani Gov't, suddenly now not Taliban friendly has the nukes and oppressive islam/arab gov'ts now must trade vacant land for peace. Proceed with caution and that reagion is best handled locally by India, Russia and China, from my reading.

The known Shura Council, etc., a multi-national Jihad warfare organizaton, and all its branches must be erradicated. Al-Qiadah is only a small percent and peace creation is wider than Bin-Laden/Al-Q'da. US Marine Commando/SWAT raids in the Middle East, with backup and swift evacuation seem to be the apparent plan.

Only the US Marines are at full strength, without cuts since the '60s, best suited for the Mid-East.

Anyone thinks its a good idea for Iran to join the coalition force if they offered to do so?

They are best suited for boarder containment, isolating Chenia to Pakistan and Islamic India. They are the best option to occupy Iraq and stabilization of Iran is key.

Not if there's evidence that they help supported bin Laden.

Iran(Persia) hates Bin-Laden(Saudi arab)Al-Q'da and wider Taliban regional control.

Tripleshot:
Israeli intelligence is key...we have little and less in that area.
The enemy is all brances and roots with no head, which is western thinking. They are not centralized and regions, not countries.

The brances extend to almost all world counties in one way or another. The immediate concerns are the enemy from within. Brooklyn NYC has known warrior groups (cells).

"i believe that the US is still punishing pakistan for testing nuclear weapons a few years ago. Maybe sanctions will be lifted if they help."

i believe we have already said that we will NOT lift sanctions just becasue of their support. However I wouldn't be surprized if that changes.
