Do you think they should be handed over? I appreciate a country not throwing its citizens away at the behest of another to face charges elsewhere, but one of these suspects appears to be possibly the mastermind of the attack. Considering India and Pakistan have done far more than sabre rattling in the past, if Pakistan really does want to avoid war it may be worth paying a little homage to India's demands with a few people, or at least inviting them to co-interrogate or something. Put yourself in their shoes; if Canadian terrorists came down and committed this act and Canada said extradition absolutely won't happen no matter what, people would be pissed.

They should try and convict them in Pakistan. India would never send over it's citizens to Pakistan if the situation were reversed. In the long run, all India can do is sabre rattle because war is out of the question unless it wants every major city it has go up in smokes and the same would happen to Pakistan. MAD is a good thing sometimes.

India is more thinking about focused strikes on certain parts of Pakistan, not an all out invasion or anything like that, so I'm not sure how Pakistan would react. Probably just as much air defense and interception as possible and complain about it.

I can understand the unwillingness of Pakistanis to hand over their own citizens to face what may amount to a show trial. Hopefully they will offer to let Indian officials sit in on all of the legal proceedings.

India shouldn't fall for the same trap Israel/US does by doing focused attacks with the military. They need to unofficially fund "terrorist" groups that attack Pakistan for collateral damage. And then hold the "suspects" and do a show trial. I am becoming more and more a believer of Swordfish tactics on terrorists and sponsors/moral supporters of terrorism.
