Hi All,

I just got the PS3 bluetooth headset with a game and really want to be able to pair it to my blackberry pearl as well as my PS3. I saw a product review where the reviewer stated he synced it to his curve with no issue. The fun fact is that the headset when bundled with a game doesn't come with a manual, so I have no idea if there's a button combo that puts it in discovery mode (or even if it's necessary).

So, has anybody successfully paired this headset to their phone? If so, care to share any secrets? :)

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

Do a BT search with the Pearl with the headset switched on. If the device supports Headset profile and is discoverable you will be able to see it and connect to it.

I turn the headset on, then the bluetooth on my phone. When I go to Options -> Bluetooth and click "Add Device" it won't find it. :(

Since I don't have the manual for the headset, I'm not sure if there's a button combination that puts the headset in discoverable mode.

From the manual avalible here

You can use your headset with most Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phones, although advanced features such as three way calling are not
available with this headset.
Hint: If you use automatic mode to pair your headset with your PS3? system, and also pair your headset with a mobile phone, the headset
gives priority to the PS3? system when both are in range. (The headset will connect to your PS3? system, not the mobile phone.)
1 Check that the mobile phone is turned on.
2 Press and hold down the power button on the headset until the power and mic muting indicators flash alternately in green and red,
indicating that the headset is in Bluetooth® discovery mode.
3 Turn on the Bluetooth® feature on your mobile phone to enable it to scan for the headset. Refer to the instructions for use of your mobile
phone for more information.
4 From the list of devices, select ?Wireless Headset?. When prompted for a pass key, enter ?0000?.
Your headset is now paired with the mobile phone.

Awesome! Thanks uli2000! I'll be giving this a try when I get home tonight.
