Ripped from another site:

Office Depot item number 183414. The price for a pair is $60 - $15 coupon - $20 Rebate [Exp 12/31] = $25 with free shipping.

Save another 2% by using Ebates!

These are the 5-mile range ones, and the rebate is from Walled Lake, MI.....which in my experience is EXTREMELY fast about turning around rebates (5-7 weeks - MAX!)

I've got a pair on order which will be about $27 after rebate, including taxes.

coupon can be found at FW, or referal from Ben's.:D

Edit: Fixed rebate link

Something to think about - these are GMRS which require FCC licensing at $75 (I think that that is for 5 yr license). Don't know how much this is enforced but "Unlicensed operation of a GMRS transmitter is punishable by a monetary fine of up to $10,000 for the first offense, even more for subsequent violations. You must obtain an FCC license (or be an immediate family member of someone who is already licensed) before you may transmit with a GMRS radio. " (from the GMRS site)

Thanks for the license info. Sounds like they mean business, BTW, EVERY form of communication is being collected by the NSA now, so choose wisely. Make too many transmissions with these without using proper proticol, (why you need a license), in or around a large city, (like "stepping on" legal wireless transmissions by a airport control tower or some other official agency) and you may get a visit, via the FCC tracking vehicles.

Nice find though, thanks.

these radios have both GMRS and FRS frequencies, so you don't have to have the license. Only if you switch to GMRS.

Where do you input the coupon code at Office Depot? I have looked for the Referral ID box, but I cannot find it. I have never bought from there before and I have cleared cookies.

That's what someone in the site where this was ripped from thought. But someone totally into the hobby provided a link to correct information. I was going to order this until I found that out :(

batteries are not included
This is a special package that only contains 2 radios. This is not 2 radio kits.

Still a good deal, but be ready to obtain 8 AAA NiMh bateries and charger to power these rascals.

The $75 FCC license for GMRS comes with rules of operation, and is only available to 18 or over.

If you don't need GMRS, here is a no hassle (no rebate) FRS kit with everything Wallyworld

This is a much better deal than the walmart units. The 5 mile range is a BIG plus. FCC licensed here, no problem.

PR 900-2 DX

I bought mine last night and need to go to OD in a little bit to pick them up.

I had the same issue, I called up web support...

Add your items you want to purchase to your cart
Go to this page: http://www.officedepot.com/offers/save.asp
It will verify the coupon, then click "go shopping"
Click checkout and it will be in your cart on the last page before you submit your order.

Enjoy!

I just picked mine up a few min ago, and thank goodness I had some extra AAA's since they take (4) per unit. I am very impressed with the clarity & features of the units thus far.

They don't stock them in my zip. Someone give me a zip that works. I know at staples.com you put in any zip where they have the product and they ship it to you.

Edit: nevermind. Don't want a license.
