If someone stole a painting they would not be allowed to sell it.
An original painting has value, subsequent copies do not have the same value, copies of music and movies retain the same value as the original that is copied.

I thought there was this one case where one of them brought up that you couldn't re-sell the CDs that you had bought for a profit. Even years after owning them.
