when you guys are painting your cases, you would probably want to repaint your cd, dvd, and floppy drives so that the whole thing would match. well, i'm having trouble painting my dvd-rom. I'm tryin to remove the faceplate off the dvd-rom drive so that it would be easier to paint and put it back together later. i can't seem to remove the faceplate off my dvd-rom tho.... i loosen the faceplate from the bottom and sides, but i can't get the top off the faceplate to come off the drive. Does anyone know how to do this? my dvd-rom is a Hitachi GD-2000 if that helps! thanks!
 
you might need to power your dvd, then open the tray. The tray "lip" may come off separately... once you pull that off, pulling off the rest of the bezel should be a snap.
