Painting my PSU?

I have an EA650, which is gray and does not match my black case with its black interior. I was wondering if it is possible to paint a PSU, if you need a certain kind of paint and what that might be, and just if this isn't going to harm it or anything. I'd rather not void the warranty if I can avoid it, but if I have to I suppose I can.

I think opening any PSU will void the warranty depending on where the sticker is and all that...

Try some black RustOleum...its a nice rough matte black and sticks well to metal...just make sure to take all the stickers off and what not...yeah...its going to void your warranty LOL!

Also, and I know this is painfully obvious...but PLEASE remove the actual power supply part of the PSU from the casing...just dont take the PSU out of your computer and start spraying away...

You are going to avoid the warranty nonetheless. Any kind of paint is fine, just disassemble the psu to get the best result.

You also have to ask yourself, is it really worth the trouble painting it?

It does seem more trouble than its worth and I guess its dependent on if I mod a window into my case which I'm considering doing.

That's good advice, but (no offense, OP) anyone who has to ask how to paint a PSU case may lack the knowledge to remove the actual PSU part from that case and properly reinstall it. Shorts between 300V and case are serious, especially when the case isn't grounded.
