Painting my printer

I want to paint my printer because it's not black like my desktop set. Would someone know how i go about doing this?

just take it apart (carefully)
mask off any buttons ,parts ,ports that paint might ruin

and paint it
just be carefull of moving parts as the paint might wear on them
spray paint should be fine
