Painting Monitor Black?

I've been looking for a black monitor, but I haven't been happy with what I've found, usually it's because the monitor doesn't have what i want, or it's too expensive. Has anyone painted their monitor? I wouldn't mind painting my current one, but I'm afraid that it'll look cheap after the paint-job. Thanks for your input.

I wouldn't try it. There are too many vent holes to even attempt to mask. To do so you would have to do it from the inside and that would mean potential electrocution or at least serious injury. Plus like you said, it will look very cheap. Shop around there are many good black monitors out there. You will not find any cheap ones, you gotta pay the price for aesthetics.

I guess it could be possible if you totally disasembled the case/housing from your monitor to paint it. Sand paper the sucker down after your done painting.
