I will be painting my house this summer and I need to choose a color combination. The house is a tan brick. The trim work and porch and lattice will be painted. Where can I get help choosing color combinations?

One look at the coloring on houses in the neighborhood. Get ideas.
If you get something that is outlandish; you may decide to repaint again; also the value of the house/curb appeal will be less.

Other than that; generate a sketch of the house and go to work with MS Paint or a similar tool. That will allow you to see different colors and/or combinations of trim/siding colors as related to the brick facing.

All the major paint stores have color groups that work well together for exterior or interior. Generally with pictures of houses painted in those colors.

I'd love to find a website that allows you to upload a picture of your house, and will adjust the picture of your house, based on colors you pick.

Edit: never mind, that was a dumb thing to type, instead of simply typing in the search terms in Google. I found one at Certainteed for siding (going to replace the existing siding). But, I also ran across a color visualizer on Sherwin William that allows up to upload an image of the area you're working on. It seems to be more for interior colors, but I can't see why it wouldn't work on exterior.

Good timing on this thread. Have my closing tomorrow morning and will be having some of the rooms painted this weekend before I move all of my furniture in. I'll be wasting some time today on the sherwin williams site. Thanks DrPizza.

Search google for comparables or go drive around your neighborhood :).

I find it quite hard to completely visualize the colors 100%. There is always going to be some variable that comes out unexpectedly.

Here's a color scheme-designer tool I refer to when building webpages.

http://paletton.com

Could take a few minutes to grasp how it operates.

*** Ok ... here's some options assuming your house is the center tan color.
