Painting computer parts...

Ok, I got a black Antec case, and I wanna paint my floppy drive so that it's black also and stuff. Also, I'm thinking of painting my DVD driver and my CDRW drive also so that they are black

Anyways, I'm wondering how I should go about painting it for the best results. Like what kind of paint, how many coats, what kind of sand paper should I use to smooth it afterwards, etc

Thanks for your help

there is a thread in the for sale/for trade forum about a guy selling a cdrw that he painted... you may search for it and ask him..

I would go to a hobby shop and get some model paint that they use on plastic that should work nicely

Regular spray paint will work fine. Don't over-apply, be sure to clean the parts with soap and water, dry them well, and remove them from the drives.

I've sold paint stuff for 9 years...
Spray is fine... (but take the cover off your computer before)
either that, or a coat of any interior oil or latex primer and a good oil or latex paint... (just don't put a latex paint over an oil primer)
A coat of clear polyurethane over top and it'll look super spiffy!

Get Rust-Oleum brand spray paint...it sticks to that stuff well. It's what I painted my case & drives with.
