Painting case interior

I was thinking of painting the interior of my case without touching the exterior paint ... but to do it right it seems like you'd want to pull the rivets somehow and take it down to sheet metal pieces.

Is there some easy to use tools to remove rivets?

and once the case is all painted.. will any gun work to reassemble it? comments? suggestions?

thx

I'll play but link your case first. Lets have a look at it.

If you search this forum you will find several posts on case painting. One has a vid on exterior painting w/some good tips in it.

eh nevermind, I scrapped the idea. after photochopping my case interior blue it just didn't look right.

I'll just stick with steel look and blue neons I think. thanks anyway

I painted the interrior all black. It was a big job, I just masked everything I didnt want painted, then I hung it in a tree and spray painted it. it came out really nice.

I believe paint would act as an insulator, which would make your pc run hotter.

are you kidding me.. a thin layer of paint isn't going to do squat to your temperatures. Even watercooling heatercores/radiators are spray painted. Unless you spray it way too much, nothing will happen.

I didnt want to do it in the garage where it could get the cars. worked great because it was in the sun which helped dry it and it spun for easy angles for the paint.
