First time ever doing anything somewhat complex like this.
I don't have a worklog of this, I just took finished pictures.
The case is was a white-ish beige to begin with, so I had to mask off the Ohio State letters off with tape (this took quite awhile). Then I sanded down the rest of the case and applied the first coat of the base grey.
I let it dry over-night and then masked off the outer O. Sprayed the rest of the case colonial red. When I pulled off the painters tape of the outer O, it lifted up some of the paint (maybe I didn't sand well enough?), so I sprayed some of the grey paint into a bowl and tried brushing in the rest. It didn't work very well and now, if you look closely, you can see two different shades of grey.
Now was the hard-part. I had to take off the tape covering Ohio State. I had to use a scalpel to make sure not a whole lot of "extra" paint came off with the letters. There were a couple knicks and not so nice and tighty lines, so once I took off all the letters, I used a black paint pen and did the outline of the letters. That "fixed" most of the imperfections.
Last part was doing the black outline of the outer O. Just eyeballed it and it went pretty well.
I had an original idea of putting the name "Buckeyes" in a bold font on the bottom and then covering the top with the buckeye stickers they put on their helmets, but I like the colors so much, I don't know if I should anymore.

So, that's my finished product. It isn't the greatest, but it only cost $6 for the two cans of spray paint (and a couple hours of human labor) and I'm pretty happy with it.
