Fun as long as it is not too cold.

Also, be careful if the field is mostly grass. It gets a little slick.
Running from cover to cover gets interesting.

i'm about to start paintballing, and am starting with a 10 shot spring loaded Semi-Auto Pistol. But i've noticed some of them don't have sealed magazines, so if it rained the paint would be jeopordized. Which pistol would be best for playing in the rain?

If you're just starting, rent a semi-auto from the field you're playing at. You'll have no fun at all if you're the only pump-action on a field of semis (or god forbid, an auto or two)

Dude.. for $150 dollars at academy you can get a 16bps full auto paintgun. I'd fork the cash out and go rambo.

Make damn sure you've got good no-fog goggles.
Nothing sucks worse than not being able to see when you are playing.

Find an indoor place so you don't have to worry about the rain.

The best indoor game is called assasin. Each game is 15 minutes and one person on each team (of 10 people) is told beforehand that they are the assasin. At the 7 minute mark this person becomes their own team, but they still have their old team colors and nobody knows who it is but them. That game is a huge mind job. 🙂
