<< I hope they give the 15-16 year old shooters citations for for tryingto rid the world of losers..

The guy that got shot was 21 years old and riding around shooting people with paintballs.. as if he would ever amount to anything
>>

It makes me sick to see that anyone can think this way. This guy had a family and friends that I'm sure cared about him a lot and will no longer have him in their lives except in their memories. This person's life was not any less precious or valuable than anyone elses just because of the way he lived and the decisions he made (however good or poor they may have been).

A man who goes around terrorizing other paople has a far less valuable life than one that does not. Sorry, but the actions DO make the man.

are you high?!

this person may have been precious and valuable to the godforsaken family that brought this retard up, but he is not equally precious and valuable to the rest of us. like it or not, people have differing values to society. for example, i am probably not as valuable to society as einstein was.

I think he's still alive. It says in the article that he's listed in "serious condition" and that usually means that they aren't dead...yet. I think that it serves him right and still keeps him around to learn from this experience. Maybe he won't do anything else quite so dumb (unlikely).

Of course I am a little suspicious of the shooters. I know if I shot someone I sure as hell would wait for the police and make out reports and such. Could it be they knew it was a paint gun and shot dispite this knowledge.

I don't condone the shooting (of the real gun), but those morons sure had it coming. They picked on the wrong people.

Since it's suspected that the kids who shot the guy, and I use the word guy very loosely here, got hit with the paintballs and are also suspected to have paint from the paintballs on their clothes, which would pretty much rule out a self-defense defense if it were the case. I mean unless they think they bleed bright green or whatever color the paint was, i'd say their chances for self defense are pretty low. Also, maybe if they had stayed at the scene of the crime they would have stood a better chance. Both sides in this case are wrong.

Even in the event the jury were fooled into believing the self-defense crap, those kids who shot the guy will still do some serious time on firearms charges and other laws about gang violence and guns. They aren't getting off no matter how you slice it.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand those punks who shoot innocent unsuspecting citizens with paintballs, but I hate even worse children who carry guns and think it's cool to belong to a gang. Hope they think steel bars are as cool as steel weapons.

have you ever played paintball? you usually don't know that you have paint until you check (unless it hits your helmet, of course). and if somebody is shooting you, do you check to see if it's paint or not, or do you defend yourself? i choose the latter.

in this case, both parties are stupid from all points stated.

and if you play airsoft, you'd be even dumber than these guys to go out firing at ppl... then you'd have the police shooting you down.. or depending where you are... someone else...

I have little sympathy for any douchebag who goes around terrorizing pedestrians with a paintball gun from a bicycle. Anyone who has seen the videotape, mentioned above, of teens shooting paintballs at pedestrians has seen how frightened the victims were, and how they generally thought they had been shot. The teenagers here sound like bad characters (I own and like handguns but do not condone 16-year-olds carrying concealed), but if you mess with the bulls, eventually you will get the horns.
