My finace ( whos id I'm using) is really into paintball and currently has a shocker. I would like to buy him a new gun as a wedding present. Any suggestions on type and reliable company would be of great help. The games he place envolves speed and "bunkers" huge inflatable looking things. Not a player myself I hope that makes some sense.:)

I think that a present he would appreciate a helluva lot more would be some type of edible undergarment. A $200 paintball gun brings a lot less enjoyment than $200 worth of edible panties ;)

totally the wrong forum, but if he uses a shocker, im sure he's set. I've shot many types of markers, and most players use a specific type for certain reasons. I habe an angel, 2 autockers, a bushmaster, and a new Evil Oman. Of them all, I'd give positive words about all of them...

Currently, I'm stuck on this Evil Oman which is a great marker for the money ($roughly 400). It will match my angel for speed, and is fairly accurate. It isn't quite as accurate as my autococker, but I have a ton of money into the cocker.

Maybe the best thing to buy your guy would be a nice high pressure bottle, that he can pack full of CO2 to get the most shots out of his shocker.

You could also go with a new barrel system (evil pipe, or Freak! set), new mask, gloves, shoes, pants, etc. Paintball is expensive, sometimes I regret how much money I have dumped into it. Luckily once you start winning tournements, items start to flow in for a minimal cost.

A shocker is already a fairly expensive gun so be ready to spend some serious bank to get a better gun. Since he probably likes electropneumatic guns just about the only electropneumatic that's significantly better than the shocker would be an angel. If that's not good enough, look into a Warped Sports Dark Angel.

Know much about Shockers??
Didn't think so...

They were made for CO2, unless, of course, you play at the North Pole.
Nitro's a waste of money on the Shocker.

It might not perfrom much better then stock but I'll be damned if it doesn't look a hell of a lot better! Smart Parts was about to release a few new high end markers including a new smaller shocker, maybe you should try to find out if it's out, if it is your hubby-to-be would probalby love it.

whoever said anything about a $200 paintball gun is just silly. he has a shocker.. a $700+ gun on its own. if he has a shocker.. look into buying him a new custom one with some cool milling http://www.planeteclipse.com/www2001/site/tech/info_ecli_shocker.shtml :) if its to much money, maybe buy him.... like 5 cases of some decent paint. I'd recommend www.paintballgear.com, i know proball was damn good when i played heavy, but i'd check out diablo brand paintballs. they were just coming out when i finished, and were a decent buy for the buck.

Actually Max Flo's can run both co2 and hpa (or they use to, you gotta change out a spring in the reg first). Anyways right now you should be able to buy your husband a cheap used Angel. The new Angel 4's are coming out and you can find really nice lcds under $500. I saw a 02 C&C w/ 2 ultra lights a boomstick and other stuff lastnight on pbnation.com with an 02 macdev (needed to be rehydrod) for $350. and Ir'3s from $600-$700 if you look right. If you don't wanna spend that much and he doesnt run hpa. You could buy him a scuba/fillstation ($120-140+$40 for fill station) and a hpa tank (javas/pure energies are $150-$180) for around $350-$400.
