Paintball: Autococker Trilogy Pro

Been playing PB a few times. Tired of rentals. How is the Autococker Trilogy Pro for 1st gun? Or should i get the package?

I would stay away from an autococker for your 1st gun. I would get an A-5 or a spyder or something of that nature. Usually those "packages" include a crappy mask and stuff you don't need if you're just starting out.

Im not familiar with the "trilogy pro" but autocockers are infamous for always breaking down and the owner having to spend a lot of time on maint.

First gun? Go with a Tippmann M98, simple, easy to clean, you can run over it with a tank and it will still work. A-5 is ok for starter I guess, but you need to learn the basics.

this guy is right about the cocker...I have a spyder and it is the straightest shooting gun I have ever shot. I have shot everything from angels, bushmasters, automags, and cockers and my spyder shoots better for be a not so expensive gun. The Tippman 98 is a great starter gun but the barrels alot of the time have burrs in them and bust a lot of paint. As for the A-5, never shot one rumored to be a great improvment on the 98 design.

Impulse are very nice.. I have 3 spyder, impulse, armortech.

3 spider is like the cost of a impulse.. haha.. I would also get nitro instead of co2.

I haven't looked for a while but smartparts got Ion and Nerve now.. not sure if they're good or not.. looked okay

What's wrong with autococker?

theres nothing wrong with them, however they require a lot of matinence and fine tuneing to keep running all the time, when i used to play alot a few of my friends had them, and they would always go down at thw wrong time, while my automag mor or less never broke

I still have my 98 custom that I haven't used in over 4 years. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with it, not that I think about it much

AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH

anyway, first gun i'd say tippman, if you're feeling baller maybe an automag. definately NOT a cocker. the first time your ball breaks you're gonna hate your life.

I don't want a spyder. Any gun u can get at walmart is pretty garbage. Any other suggestions? Can't I start with a mid range gun instead at starting out at the bottom? I did the same thing with R/C cars by getting a decent, mid range car.

 Was my first gun 😛

I started with a Brass Eagle Stingray, month later I picked up my M98, never looked back since. I haven't used mine in 3 years up until a month ago, pulled it out of the box, lubed it up a bit, put 400 rounds through it without a misfire. I'm hoping to go out a couple more times before the season is up.

Absolutely true. My friend has the Trilogy Pro in blue, and it's great when it works but when it malfunctions it's a b1tch.

Edit: Don't mock Spyders, they're cheap and reliable. (I have a Rodeo) If you're playing woodsball then buy a spyder or a tippman. If you're playing speedball look elsewhere. You won't get anywhere in that kind of price range.

oh yeah

if you guys want to get GANGSTA

buy a pump gun

your skills will increase 10 fold

(you will also probably get 10x the amount of welts while you're learning)

I own an Autococker, Minimag, spyder-A, and a SL-68 (pump gun). The only one that is not working is the spider which died after three years of playing. Autocockers can be hard to maintain if you do not know how they work. For people that are only going to be rec players then get a rec level marker. Automags and stock Autocockers are mid-level tournament level markers.

Most rec players I recommend a good Tipmann for a first marker.
