Paint Scrape

I went out to my car (a 98 Mazda 626) today to find the following note on it:

I backed too wide out of my sisters drivway and scraped some paint on your rear bumper. I will be back later today. My sister's number is ########.

So it was my neighbor's sister, they live across the street, and I park my car in the street across from their driveway.

The damage isn't terrible, theres a big scuff and a slash in the paint down to the bumper that is about 5 inches long.

I've never had to deal with this before, so what I'm wondering is how much I can expect it to cost to get this fixed. I know I could probably be nice let this go, but there was no excuse for her hitting me in the first place and I take good care of my car's body, I hate each and every blemish on it (this would now be the worst one too).

Whats your opinion?

Probably looking at around $150-200 to get the bumper repainted, at least around where I live.

Now, you could get yourself some touchup paint and some sandpaper and do it yourself for like $10.

This is if it's really down to the plastic part of the bumper, if it's just a bad scuff you could get some polish and buff that sucker out.

yes, what he said.
I would try buffing it first unless it's obviously down to the plastic

A can of auto paint runs ~$4 at my local NAPA store
I live in the northeast
