I painted a wall a month ago with a dark green latex based paint (Behr, sold at Home Depot). The paint is high quality and the wall was TSP'd, primed and then painted with 2 coats.
About a week ago I accidentally dropped a heavy object into the wall and had to patch up the indentation. No problem. However when I painted over the patchwork (same can of paint as the original job) with 2 coats of the same paint the section I painted (larger than just the patch portion) is now slightly darker than the rest of the wall. It has been about 6 hours since I painted the wall.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Does the paint need more time to dry (it is dry to touch). I really don't want to paint the entire wall again, such a hassle. Any tips or ideas are appreciated.
