I have this van, it's got a large chip by the handle for the rear hatch, looks like something slammed into it and popped the paint. The chip is actually a little loose, so I'm concerned it will spread if I take it through a high pressure wash.

I'm not terribly concerned with matching the color, more in just stabilizing the chip so it doesn't get worse.

What's a decent do-it-yourselfer solution?

go to either the dealer or a local parts store and pick up a bottle of touch up paint use your fingernail to peel as much paint that will come off easily. this will keep it from doing it after you touch it up. then just use the brush to fill in the spot. it will be unseen from 10FT but look ugly up close but will keep the metal from rusting. good luck!

Thank B2na! Do I need to get some spray on clear or anything to put over it, or is just the touch up enough?
