What is it then? The doc told me I had minor tears in the connecting muscle that was on the bone near the elbow. I was even given pain meds for it. I'm not saying I disagree with you, I'm just asking what else it could be?

Edit: nevermind just read above. Your diagnosis sounds a lot closer. Now my world is all screwed up! :(

Your world is hardly screwed up :) You just have to ice where it hurts and continue taking the anti-inflammatory medication. You can start incorporating light forearm exercises per your comfort. How did your pain come about btw?

I did RICE for about 3 months and the pain is almost completely gone (now, anyway). I stopped taking the NSAIDS about a month ago (They put me on something called, methocarbamol, which I believe is a muscle relaxer) The pain used to be excruciating when doing bench press and pull/chin ups in the elbow reigon. I believe the pain came to be from benching from poor grip strength, but I'm guessing as it happened back in December and don't completely remember.

I have been doing Rotator cuff / wrist & forearm exercises for at least 2 months which has helped a TON. (I hurt the cuff about two years ago from reverse peck-deck flye's from bad form).

My world is still screwed up though :( (mentally anyway, lol)

keep up with the wrist exercise but don't over do it cause the last thing you want is to do more harm than good. make sure to get a lot of rest so your body can recouperate/heal faster.

i disagree with taking anti-inflammatories for it. it slows down the healing process by thinning the blood. it also gives people a false sense of health, so they think the muscle's doing fine just because they can't feel it and they continue doing what's making it worse.

just do what sc said originally... just take it easy for a little bit.

yeah, it shouldn't take three months to heal. the nsaids were probably delaying your healing.
