Currently, running a PCP&C 750W, but I ran an X1900XTX (and many other cards as well - single and dual) with an Enermax Noisetaker 650W with no problems. Solid (and quiet) PSU. The only reason I got rid of it is because I got a new case with the PSU all the way at the bottom, and my office has carpet so I was concerned that the huge 120mm intake fan on the bottom of the PSU was going to suck carpet up inside the PSU. Plus, I really wanted sleeved cables as well which wasn't an option when I bought the Enermax. ...Of course, the PCP&C PSU has been solid as well, and the Silencer model is really quiet despite the single 80mm fan.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but when I was researching PSU's I found that the OCZ GameXtreme and FSG Epsilon 600 and 700W (OCZ is a rebadged FSG) were pretty highly regarded by users and review sites. Anandtech uses the GameXtreme in many of their benchmark setups. They weren't really an option for me becasue they also have a 120mm intake fan on the bottom, but worth a look IMO.

Akasa UltraQuiet 460w (12V1+12V2=28A)

A friend of mine is running an X1900XT 512MB on an Antec 350W (12V1+12V2=32A.)

I wouldn't recommend antec smart power as none of them give more than 25A @ 25C, 300watts max power, atleast for the 500 watts.

also, you can't just add 12v1+ 12v2

Jesus Christ when will you stop posting?

Firstly; I never mentioned SmartPower, so now you've made yourself look like a dumbass through assuming I will inform you that his PSU is a TruePower. Secondly; As for "just adding" the rails, I'm not that retarded, but I couldn't be arsed working out and deducing ~30% from an arbitrary figure.

The fact is the X1900XT 512MB runs perfectly fine on these identical rigs with the CPU OCed to 3GHz and the X1900XT 512MB OCed above XT-X clocks. Christ, moron, your posts are painful to read as it is and can usually be ignored, don't make me read anything you write by directly replying to me ever again.

There is a spec written below the dual 12V rails that you can read to see the combined amperes

I've got a 256MB AIW overclocked to near XT speeds, if you want that?
Using an Enermax WhisperII 460W PSU, 33A @ 12V single rail.

you idiot you can't just subtract 30% or something or do anything of the sort.

1)Anybody running 1900XT on a 350 watts PSU will soon end up frying it.

2)12V1+12V2!=V
Antec SP500
19A+17A=25A

Did you get that?

Both of you need to calm down, espeically Ulfhednar.
You just can't call someone a dumbass because he was laying down an incorrect fact. If he's saying something wrong, all you need to do is correct him, instead of telling him he's a dumbass.

Obviously you don't know akshayt's history here. He makes regular morons look like geniuses.

I run a 420w PSU. Aspire at that.

What Trey22 said. If you go back and read akshayt's posting history you will see he posts rubbish like this all the time and it's surfaced that this is not the first forum he likes to make himself look like a fool on.

Many are beginning to suspect he does it on purpose.

I meant no offense to anybody by my tone, except akshayt anyway. I apologise.

I used a 520W OCZ Powerstream in the past with one X1900XT@750/875 and it ran flawlessly. I'm using an Enhance 600W PSU now (same as the Silverstone ST60F) and it is working great with the parts in my sig. Jonnyguru even recommended it over the Sparkle 700W Epsilon (same as FSP 700W Epsilon and OCZ 700W Gamestream).

the end of the card is curled up a bit.

i just spoke with Newegg, I'm going to send this back and I just ordered the retail crossfire 1900 XT (512). And they upgraded me to Fed Ex overnight, after i asked if they could. It can never hurt to ask.

Hopefully i'll get it tomorrow.

Is it the metal part that is bent--the one that connects it to your computer case--or is it the actual pcb?

Damn, how much is it bent?

That's the risk in taking an OEM. I'm guessing it came sort of loose in a box with just the needed cords and drivers right? My old X1900XTX did when I got it from Sapphire OEM.

Yeah, everything was all loose, it was double wrapped in bubblewrap though.
It's bent a little bit, nothing crazy, but i'm not taking a chance since it was a $300 item.
