Theads that have 101+ posts at times show 2 pages.

However, when I select page 2, I get a blank page.

It used to be when the # posts was a multiple of your preferences, this extra page count could be displayed.

However, there is no mulitple abailable for 103 posts.

I have noticed this (I think I understand what you are saying) when you are following a link from someone else.
IE:
I have my preferences set to show 500 posts per page.
"Username" has his set to 60.
He links to the 3rd page of a thread, but it is only the first page for me.
I click the link and get a blank page.

Is that it?

I can go into P&N (no need for you to hold your nose at that cesspool) and see a thread that has 102 posts.

My settings have 200/page set for both posts and threads.
Logic indicates that I should only see an indicator that there is one page.

However, the page count for that thread from the main P&N page shows 2 pages

Dang. You edited before I could chide you.
😉

What you are speaking of is different from what I experience.

Now that the thread has 104 posts, I get the second page.

Seems like there is some counter comparison that is slightly flawed.
