If i have 2GB of RAM, is it ok for me to turn off my pagefile? My main concern is, putting stress on my hard drive. I only have 1 hard drive, and it is a really nice one (Western Digital 10,000RPM 74GB Raptor). I would really hate for anything to happen to the drive, and my thinking is, if i turn off the pagefile, it would really put less stress on the drive, and maybe even make my computer a little faster (in terms of not having to access the pagefile).
What are your thoughts on the situation? Should i turn it off? Will it make no difference at all?
