Does it matter who you do your activation with? Can you activate with one and buy mins with another etc.? Some dealers don't have the 80$ plan but their activation might be free for e.g.

Lol! Ok, so pageplus cellular has authorized dealers online who you can buy mins from and activate. My question is if you activate your phone using one dealer can you still buy mins from another. Because it's all PIN based in my understanding and it should not be dealer specific.

You are correct, You can activate one and buy Pins from a totally different dealer. You'll just enter the pin code on the page plus website.

Just skip the dealers and call them directly or use their live chat on the website. Activation is free, ESN changes are free.

Get your pins from PagePlusDirect.com and take advantage of 6% discount on every order without coupons, codes, etc.

Wife+Me $48.81/mo Two DroidX phones.

I signed up with Kitty and their service is superb, highly reccommended. They have the$80 plan and I think activations are currently free. They also do a great job of running interference for you when/if PagePlus screws something up.

Does that include data, or just phone/text?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. But they don't have the $80 plan. You have to get that from a dealer. I don't know why they have these hoops. Will try pageplusdirect. Thanks

I just switched over to Page Plus yesterday and went with their $12 plan. Flashed and rooted a phone for the 1st time (Evo 4g) and it works as expected.

AVOID kittywireless at all costs. They're fucking ridiculously overpriced. PagePlusDirect.com is $6 for an activation with new number, and PagePlusCellular.com (the actual Page Plus) is free with porting in your number.

Buy your pins from CallingMart or PagePlusDirect using discount codes for ~5% off.

You could be right. I called PagePlus trying to find a dealer that sold the $80/1 year plan, the guy referred me to Kittywireless.

I'm still using GhettroPCS for now. I'll be changing in a few months to PagePlus.

can anyone who had verizon before PP comment on coverage in more remote areas? I looked at the verizon maps and PP maps, although PP claims that they have "verizon" coverage, i believe that is a bit of a misnomer. from what i could understand, there is verizon network coverage which is the same, but in more remote areas you aren't actually on verizon's network. you are in the "extended digital coverage" area, but Verizon customers aren't charged roaming. On Page Plus these same regions are listed as roaming. (The specific area I'm talking about is Cumberland, MD). Roaming on PP is something like 29 cents/min. So I don't think it's true to say that you get "Verizon coverage" with PP.

At least that is my understanding of it, and why i haven't switched. If someone can confirm the opposite, I'd like to hear! I'm speaking of only voice and messaging, I don't care about 4g.

http://www.kittywireless.com has specials every now and then with free port-ins and free activations. You have to watch the website. Kitty has a killer automated system called Auto-pay, where you don't worry about renewing from month-to-month. They do it for you. When just using minutes, Kitty will also automate buying a PIN and applying it to your phone when your $$$ balance drops below a pre-set level. Not affiliated, but a happy customer for 2 years with 4 phones on Page Plus.
