Page file question

Nocturnal

Lifer
I have one 74GB Raptor and one Maxtor Maxline III hard drive 300GB. Would it make a performance difference if I put a page file on the 300GB Maxtor as well as the Raptor?

If your system is doing a large amount of paging, yes.

Make sure that on the system drive you dont make the size smaller than the total amount of RAM you have (if you're manually setting the size).

hard to say... the raptor is faster, but if the 300gb isnt being used it might pull the page back. either way it only matters if you have massive page files like you would have on a server.

Maybe, probably nothing huge though since the pagefile is only a small portion of where paging activity occurs. When you have multiple pagefiles, Windows will use the one on the drive being used the least at that time.
