juno 5.0 was installed; it does make a connection to the internet and their interface loads. the email tab will download the emails and seems to work but the web will not load any pages. gives 'the page cannot be displayed' message using IE or juno.

found out the Content Advisor in internet options was password enabled!...but a fresh install of XP pro sp1 was recently done and no one enabled this. also it was on a network with broadband for the windows updates (so internet was working). had to delete a key in the reg to remove the pw and now the content advisor is fixed

but web pages still do not load.

got desperate so AOHell was loaded and it works just fine (as fine as aol can be).

oh yeah, the tech folks at juno we're called several times and they tried this and that (at $1.95/min) to no avail.

no firewall is running, disabled mcafee 7.0, only one (administrator) account used, a fax machine will work off the modem, it's a dell Dim 733 384MB of dell ram, fresh install of xp pro sp1

someone really wants juno to work so please give me some ideas (there might be an AOL cd in it for ya!)

Did you try turning the SPEEDBAND OFF? (right click speedometer)

Is the BROADBAND hooked up simultaneously with the DIAL-UP?

speedband is not installed (i'll double check this) and it's off the network...it was only plugged in for win updates.

play around with the internet connection settings. Thats what I had to do with juno. To tell you the truth, I got so fed up with their terrible internet I got cable and kept the juno email account. Much happier now.
