Minor league pitcher in the back seat was wearing his Seatbelt and walked away.

Also ALcohol may have played a part in this accident

It boggles my mind how many people still don't regularly use their seatbelts. After looking at photos of people that have been thrown thru their windshields, the seatbelt is the first thing I think of.

Secondly, yes it may have been his own fault and his life may have been saved had he worn a seatbelt. This should be a lesson to all those who don't wear seatbelts already to start doing so.

At the risk of sounding clich&eacute;, seatbelts save lives. It?s really very simple.

A preponderance of the evidence that I?ve seen force me to conclude that people who refuse to buckle up for any reason are the less intelligent of the species.

I don't like seeing people die though. As a "courier driver," I forget to buckle up for several short trips every day. I bug the hell out of my self when I forget.

Almost got killed a few years ago when the car I was riding in hit a light post at 35 mph. The car was a total wreck, but my sister and I had our seatbelts buckled. I walked out of it with minor bruises in my chest were the seatbelt held me back. I've always used a seatbelt no matter where I was going, short trip to the bank/grocery or a long trip to the city. You just don't know what might hit you.
