wheres the cheapeast place to buy packing supplies..ups, usps? for packing material for a pc and monitor

i just ran out of bubble wrap

Get boxes from your local supermarket. <--Free.

Use wadded up newspaper for packing material. Will use about one whole Sunday edtion and it'll take an hour to wad up that much paper...but....<----free

Buy one roll of stranded packing tape. It's strong and the best thing. <---about $3

Plus your cost to ship, insured, of course. Good luck.

Use the original foam if you have it and case box. Put case box inside other box for double box protection. Do not ship UPS. It will arrive broken. Ship Airborne or Fedex ground. USPS is too expensive and their tracking sucks.

just use a box and some newspaper man

to make the recipient feel better about the packing job, toss in a sharp, heavy screwdriver bit - make sure it's loose inside the case to bounce around and make happy sounds

last but not least, don't forget to blame fed ex and try to talk the recipient into 're packing' it and claiming fed ex insurance

LOL!

So what happened to the monitor?

monitor was cracked in multiple places, i plugged it in and it made loud squeeling noises and loud clicks and ticks - no video at all

the computer was ok for the most part
the 9700 AIW was bent, broken and fried
the cd/cdrw/dvd/dvdrw all worked
the adaptec scsi 2100 got bent, but worked
the two seagate cheetahs also continued to work

a miracle really...

I find it interesting that someone who knows enough to use an anitec case wouldn't think of packing properly. Oh well, live and learn. Did you at least receive refund on the broken parts?
