Packing for flight - any advice, ATOT?

I'm flying down to Louisiana to see relatives. I have the obvious clothes (t-shirts and shorts cause it'll probably be hot), toiletries, etc. What things are easy to miss when preparing?

I'm just using a gym bag for luggage.. how should I label it with my name?

Philly --> Tampa ---> New Orleans 🙂

Thanks ATOT

Bring a carry on with anything you can't/don't want to lose if your luggage is lost. Check out the restrictions for carry-on bags on the TSA website. Not much else you need besides clothes, toiletries and any medications/vitamins. Maybe a camera, ipod, etc.

Some sort of entertainment so I don't have to listen to you crying all flight long. And don't kick the back of my seat, thanks.

Check your airline's website--You may have to pay extra to check ANY bag. So if you're gone for only a few days, it may be worthwhile to buy your toiletries at your destination if it means you don't check a bag. And since you're going to visit relatives, pack light and borrow stuff if you have to.
