Looks like I'm about to sell both of my video cards soon. Any advice for a newbie on how to pack 'em and send them? How much should it typically cost via priority mail?

It needs an antistatic bag, and a box with a generous amount of room and lots of peanuts would be ideal. But I've had people ship me video cards in USPS envelopes, or in boxes barely big enough to fit the card with hardly any protection, and those at least arrived in working condition. Not that I recommend doing that, just saying. A 2 lbs. package can be shipped Priority Mail from coast to coast for $6.

I always send out my used video cards in their original box and I enclose that box in another box typically from USPS or UPS. That tends to be a bit more expensive so if you want to be cheap(er) then just send it in the original box and make sure you tape up the original box really good and it should be fine.

Never ship in the original retail boxes..that just screams "steal me". If you ship in the retail box, make sure to overpack it inside a large box with large bubble on the bottom of the box then fill with paper for dunnage. Be aware of newspaper as the ink can transfer onto the retail box.

If you don't have a retail box. Ship in an antistatic bag, taped, then large or small bubbled then follow my tips for overpacking. A lot of packaging is common sense. Just think when your'e packaging, "How would I like the package to look if I was the receiver?"
