Packet loss, my DSL company is a JOKE

Alright, I'm about to call Windstream, the shittiest DSL company around. For the last 3 months+ I've dealt with HORRIBLE latency issues around primetime(7pm-11pm). After several phone calls they finally seemed to get me a low latency(all I play is quake 2 which doesn't require a huge amount of bandwidth). Now that my ping isn't jumping from 80->150->96->164 it's great but I still get horrible packetloss. Every single map I play my netgraph in-game shows hiccups. Last night was the last fucking strat. Playing a big match and I get a crazy amount a PL(every now and then is ok with me but it's getting ridiculous)... I have a small screenshot showing the PL.

I'm looking for advice on anything on my end I can try to prevent this bull shit or what I should tell Windstream.. I guess the same thing I just posted or is there language I can use that they might fucking understand that they need to stop charging me for something they aren't delivering. This is shit a cable user should deal with, not DSL.

Any advice?

Also, FUCK you windstream.

When you say you still get horrible packet loss, were you getting bad packet loss before?

I was just thinking, perhaps they changed your line from interleaved to fastpath. That would mean that line noise would introduce more packet loss, but your latency would be better.

Before(the last 3 months) I wouldn't even try gaming after 7pm because my ping would go from 100 to 70 to 150 to 120 to 68 to 165, etc. Now that it's not doing that, I get random(and pretty often) PL.

This just seems ridiculous that I'm paying for a service that they can't get right. Phone call after phone call. It's the only option I have, fwiw.

Fraud much?

Quick question for you:

How many DSL filters are installed in the home ? There is usually 1 at every telephone set.
The more you have the worse the DSL line operates. I solved an issue at my home where the DSL would go up and down, by simply removing all the in home filters and installing what is known as a Whole House DSL filter. It installs where the phone line comes in from the Telco. Only thing is you need to run a piece of CAT5 from the filter to your Modem input.

It says for outdoor use, but I used it inside the garage with no trouble.
