Packard Bell Remote Control Questions

I found my old Packard Bell Media remote in my closet, after reading on Anandtech that you can still use this for Winamp, DVD, etc...

I have no software for this and I was wondering how I should set it up.

I run Windows 2000 on my main machine and Win ME on my laptop.

I want to use this on my main machine however, currently testing it on the laptop.

Hi Blayze. If you want consistency between your desktop and laptop, the best program to use for WinAmp only is WinLIRC with the WinAmp plugin. This works with Win2k and WinME. You can download a combo zip file at http://sun818.home.mindspring.com/html/ir_remote.htm

The install instructions are provided. Feel free to write me if you run into any install problems.

Thanks.
