Had a phone delivered Friday that required a signature. I wasn't there so they left a notification. It read "available for pick up on or 12/3" or something like that.

So does this mean they will attempt to deliver it today then I can go pick it up? Or can I go on my lunch and get it? I just signed the slip and put it back in my mailbox.

Reason I'm confused because this happened a while back a and I went on the day that was on the sheet and it was at the USPS facility on not on the truck again for an attempt to redeliver it???

Yeah its very confusing, sometimes I just go towards the end of the day and see if the truck returned or not, might be able to call ahead and see if someone will answer your question before you waste a trip

What did signing the slip do? Normally you take the slip with you to the post office and they just walk back in the back and get it.

USPS can be confusing. Sometimes they attempt again the next day, sometimes they don't. I normally just go after work to the PO and pick it up.

Yeah...more confusing USPS crap.

I got an iPhone a few weeks ago, and missed the delivery. They attempted Friday, but I wasn't around for a signature. I got one of those cryptic slips of paper not informing me what to do. The next morning (Saturday), I just went down to the PO and picked it up.

And yeah, to those saying "call the post office". Have you ever actually tried to call a post office? Maybe in BFE, you can get a hold of them, but good luck anywhere else.

yeah i just wanted to be sure they leave it instead of taking another day to get this package. i'm about to take a break from work and run home to see if they dropped off, if not then i'll grab the slip and head to the PO.

You will need to go to the post office to pick it up.

UPS and FedEx usually try to deliver 3 times (M-F) and then returns to sender. USPS tries 1 time, and then holds it at your local post office.
