it comes from the other baby thread of the day
what do you think about it?
personally I really do not like it but sometimes we find it to be the only way to calm our four month old down.
yeap, it's one way to calm a baby down. but i heard that it affects the child's self confidence or sth in the future. Just make sure she's not sucking it all the time. Let her rant and scream sometimes.
I'm kinda on the fence on this one. They will get my daughter calmed down sometimes, but then she'll freak out again as soon as she spits the pacifier back out. Hence, you have to hover nearby to plug it back in from time to time.
Until they are old enough to find it on their own....
That happened to my soon to be 2 yr old.... now we took the pacifier about a year ago... which was fine... it was missed for a little while... week or so... then all was fine.... but about a month ago.... there I see my toddler walking around with a pacifier... it was recovered from the bottom of the toy box..... Aghhhh
I don't think there's anything wrong with pacifiers. In fact, we bought one for our daughter but she never liked using it, so it was never an issue for us.

What my parents did when my sis was a little older was cut the tip of the pacifier. So that whenever she puts it in her mouth, it feels strange, and she'd spit it back out everytime 😀
