80 is hot? pussy.

With a little humidity, yes it's hot.

Give me 86 DRY Arizona heat over this any day of the week.
eh.. The humidity was around 28% all day. 😛

It's almost never humid and hot here.. lol

It is very humid here compared to the southwest. We tend to average 40-50% (IIRC), whereas (for example) I remember Davis CA is in the 8-12% range most of the time during the hot days.

Oh, yeah, I realize that. Still much, much better than even 60%.. let alone 100.. ugh. It was probably even lower than 28% during the heat of the day, that was a couple of hours ago. It's up to 33% now.

In the heat of summer, at least last year, we hovered around 17 - 20% on the 90+ days... which is pretty damn dry, really.

It's because.. when it gets hot here, it's from the heat lows comming up out of california, so it basically is that dry desert heat.. lol

Sounds nice, but I recognize that the beauty of this area comes from its mild climate... I'd hate for NW Oregon to become a desert...

Yeah, then it would be just like southern oregon. Yuck.
I HATE the summers here and I really really miss the Willamette Valley summers.

meh, I'm not worried about that.. The snowpack in the cascades is excellent. If this summer is extraordinarily dry, we might be pushed into a drought type situation, especially if next summer is also dry. It's happened before, but then it always flipflops.. and we get those insane rains, like in 1996. 😉

We'll see though.. Just like everything, the Earth is in a constant state of change..

I almost find it sad that our lifetimes are so pathetically short.

I loved the heat today but had to stay out of the sun (got a sunburn yesterday working outside all day).

Welcome to a new AT Oregonian!

Thanks Bryophyte 😀
