We woke up to find the ground white this morning, just barely enough to cover everything, but it's raining and 39F, so it's starting to melt. Supposed to get much more snow tonight and tomorrow. This is in the hills about 20 miles west of Portland, about 1500' elevation.

Anyone else get snow?

How far NW are you looking? We've had snow for six weeks up here. ;)
And it's -30 so it probably isn't going to melt anytime soon. :(

Same here... no snow for six weeks either, though we're riding the same funky weather system. It was -15 at my house this morning, which is rather cold for Anchorage standards.

Vancouver here. We got a few inches of snow last night, but it was pretty warm (3-4 C) this morning at 6 am and it half melted. It has since gotten colder again and the snow is back in full force. We should be in for over a foot by tomorrow.

In Bellingham now. Just drove home last night from PDX. We're supposed to get up to 8 inches today and more tomorrow. I imagine we have about three inches on the ground right now. I was going to head up to Baker today too :(

Don't you guys shut the town down after -10? :p

Yeah, this sucks. Only 3" of snow cover and -20 or colder for the last two weeks. The frost line is going to creep down and start freezing stuff if we don't get some more snow soon. And snow doesn't seem likely any time soon.

Ditto for us south of Tacoma, almost to a tee. I had to get up on the roof to take measurements for a project, and some of it was still slick a couple of hours ago.

There's a chance of snow down to the Valley floor just in time for Monday morning commute. :Q Not likely any buildup, though, since the snow level is going to be at 500', but there might very well be some in the air. Tomorrow's commute is going to suck.

I'm glad I don't work tomorrow. Guess I should finaly pick up an ice scraper or two on my way home though.

Here's a picture outside my rear deck. Not too dramatic but it's dumping right now. We have about three to four inches on the ground.

Edit: Date on the pic is wrong. :(

Here's what the view from my deck looked like from Christmas 2003-Feb 2004: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Bryophyte/bryo_snow_greenhouse_3January2004.jpg

It got even deeper than that! About 4 feet came down that winter! It was great until the power went out. We had a wood stove to heat water to take to the livestock, but had to walk over 50' through that to get buckets of water to bring inside to heat up.

It's coming down pretty damn good right now in La Grande, OR.

I will finally get to use my new snowmobile soon.

I'm in Seattle... we got about an inch of wet stuff so far. Being from Minnesota, I have to say this: people in Seattle SUCK at driving in adverse weather, especially snow.

It was snowing in Bellingham when I left yesterday, but little of it was sticking (we got a dusting of about 1" the night before). I do not know if any of it stuck in Bellingham, but it's all rained out in Seattle right now.

This is how it looked this morning.
This is how it looks now. I went out to my car earlier to install a new stereo. Wiped down my car to bare then sat in my car (There was about a foot on it already. An hour later there was another foot.

Down here in Northern Cali, the tail end of your front that's bringing snow swung through. I drove out into the mountains and saw some snow :) Snow levels only coming down to about 2000 feet down here though.

Accumulating snow is pretty rare down here in my valley, at 700 feet.

Yeah it's pretty heavy here now too. Usually it's a bit deeper out your way, and deeper still farther east.
