I just picked up a rebadged Optorite DD1203 at Staples for $33.50+tax out the door.

Some reports have been made that it can be firmware upgraded to DL (DD1205), but I haven't found a valid link to the hacked firmware.

Local staples said that they pulled it from the shelves a couple weeks ago. That sucks, that was right in my price range!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check our local store but in reality they haven't had anything and I do mean *anything* decent on clearance for close to a year now.

All the good deals are always siphoned off by the employees before the average Joe customer gets a shot at it. We know this because they like to stop by at the Clearance rack and brag how they bought 10 of whatever and are reselling them on Ebay for a big markup.

Shame but true.
