PA Trout Fishing Season starts tomorrow. (POLE + REEL included)

I went fishing a couple weeks ago in WA using Powerbait. I managed to catch a 15 inch rainbow in a lake that averages 10 inchers. I just picked up a Sage fly rod, so I'm getting pretty anxious to try that out.

What do you usually use?

I watched an old King of the Hill the other night where Hank used crack as bait. It was funny as hell.

i like to fish out of a float tube. bass mostly, though i will snag the occasional pike. do a little trout fishing in SW Wisconsin streams too.

🙂 made my day... thanks for the funny.

Bass fishing primarily for me; favorite bates to use are the Yamamoto's 6 inch black (or a couple of other colors)
Or, crap, can't think of the brand - they're green, kinda like a cross between salamander and worm... feels pretty stiff, but works great.
2/0 hook, running weedless, no sinkers.

Generally you get what you pay for with the artificials...

Or, for Northern Pike: husky jerk

Or, for crappie: tube jigs, occasionally tipped with a piece of crawler

For other panfish: nightcrawler pieces

for catfish: whatever.

and for native trout: nightcrawler fished on a barbless hook (C&R)

tight lines to ya.

Well fishing season was fun. We didnt catch much. 2 of my neices each caught a fish, but that was about it. It was a gorgeous day out so it was definately worth it just to relax in a lawn chair for 10 straight hours.
