"In Thursday's violence, about 20 school children threw stones at Israeli tanks in the town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, witnesses said. Soldiers fired M-16 assault rifles, injuring five youngsters in arms and legs, doctors said. The army said soldiers fired warning shots to disperse stone throwers.

In the West Bank village of Al Yamoun, a 14-year-old boy was critically wounded by army fire in similar circumstances, doctors said. "

I wish him the best of luck, they have already stated they reject the road map and will continue attacks.

I have shot you, you have been warned. OK, I realize a child throwing a rock is quite capable of destroying a tank, I can understand getting out to shoot them. Is this the restraint Israel has shown that we have heard about recently?

Good luck to him. I think Hamas and other militant terrorist groups have already made it quite clear that they will not be satisfied until Israel is destroyed. Not that Sharon is any more reasonable.

Anyone stupid enough to throw a rock at a soldier deserves to get shot. What are the soldiers going to do, throw rocks back? Or maybe wait until they're fired on by a real weapon?

If I am in a tank I don't think a child throwing a rock is going to worry me to the point that I would only feel safer by getting out of the tank and shooting the child.

I don't think they should have shot at the children (they could have handled it in a better way), then again trying to take on a tank armed only with rocks does have its consequences.
