P965 stepping c2

Does anyone know when to expect the P965 stepping c2 to hit the street in core 2 motherboards, specifically interested in the Gigabyte DQ6 and the Asus P5B Deluxe.

Late October to early November but it really does not make a difference compared to C1, only if the board or bios design changes will you notice any performance differences and that holds true if the C1 is installed on the same board.
 
What if we're not interested in performance differences? I'd prefer to buy a board that doesn't have odd issues with reboots or high-voltage memory, so I'm hoping that the C2 stepping goes towards solving these issues.

Also, a forum poster at HardOCP claims to have recieved the C2 stepping on a Gigabyte DS3 through Newegg. I can't find the posting right now, but if you refuse to wait any longer, this would be your best bet of finding the chipset.

Reboots and memory issues are related to the bios or memory SPD, not the stepping. I have several C2 motherboards, just saying no real differences unless the board or bios has changed and even then the C1 works just as well. Expect to see an article on the subject matter shortly. ;-)

 
Hey Gary, got a question for you if you can answer it. Do you know if there is a 2nd revision mobo of the P5W DH planned? And if there is what its model name/number is? I havent heard of any but I'm thinking ASUS will probably come out with a 'Premium' edition of this mobo if they do. Just wondering if you heard of any plans one way or another.
 
I just got the following back from Gigabyte :

Dear Customer,

The C2 stepping was only released by Intel at the end of September. It probably be in early November before this version chipset is on the retail/distribution level. We will not distinguish stepping versions of the 965 chipset.

Thank you for using Gigabyte products.
