p8z77 v lk issue

I've had this in my system for over a year so it's been a running MB. This morning i came down to find a black screen and i could hear a slight thud from my speakers every second or so. I looked down and noticed the power light on the case was cycling like it was attempting to boot but immediately failing.

At which point i looked inside the case and noticed the DRAM LED was blinking basically once every second.

Anyone seen this issue before and have any theories? I tried pulling the ram and putting it in the other slots and it still did it. Then i hit the mem ok button and it went to the post screen but only detected 4096 GB of ram. It's possible when i reseated the memory to the other slights i didn't get one seated.

I can't find the manual for the board to even see what the led means. But it's almost sounding like i might have a bad stick of ram.

I got the manual off the asus site here

I looked through it and it seems that if its blinking its trying to find the correct settings, and its seems to say that if there is a bad stick or incompatibility it will stay on.

if you are trying one stick at a time you should use slot A2, as per the manual and see if the error still shows
