(1) ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

I noticed on a forum I might need a Raid controller. I thought the board already had one. It's things like this I was not preparded for. I also noted talk about a raid 5. I was hoping to connect 8 drives to the board' keeping in mind my SSD raid. I don't even know what kind of a cable to order for my Asus Video Card to Asus Monitor.

Oh Well with a little luck.

The board supports raid 0, 1, 5, 10. Here's the user's manual http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8Z77-V/E7074_P8Z77-V.pdf Ive only used "raid 0" years ago so ive no idea how to set it up. It shouldn't be to hard if you read the manual. And you can always google a bit if your still clueless.

The monitor comes with all the cables you need. DVI-D, HDMI, DISPLAYPORT, VGA. I suggested you to buy a calibration tool becouse you said you are a web designer. So accurate collors is very importend but i doubt its your profession otherwise you would have known about this.

And why did you create another thread? This question could have been added in your older thread. Anyway bob dont worry its gonna be all right :D

If I remember right, you can't have a raid 5 with less than 3 drive, and the only ports on that board that will support raid 5 are the 4 3g ones, the 4 6g are on 2 different controllers, 2 for intel and 2 for asmedia. So you could have 2 raid 0 on the 6g ports and 1 raid 5 on the 3g ports.

And you can't use the Asmedia ones for optical drives.

The monitor has a Displayport input, so I would suggest you use that.

Sorry I was thinking I was doing the right thing starting this thread. Darn pray for me. Also yes I'm more of a pro in graphics than you would think. At least I have to be in less than 30 days. After all the damages to Amerifax i have to piece things together the best I can. Not only do i need the calibration Tool. it's my only hope to get it right.

Also a few things chamged from my last post. I thought this might work listed best.

As far as raid I will only want to raid the drives, not SSD.

Sorry about mis use of forum. After 102 of life, mom and having to deal with her passing plus the business issues my mind is on half mode. But iI'm a serviver.
